How To: Fishtail Braid, Quick and Easy.

Want to do something different with your hair like a fishtail pony? But don’t know how? Let us teach you a quick and easy way to do just that!

STEP 1

Separate the hair and lay it down to your preference- mid parting, side parting etc. Choose what suits your face shape and what you personally like best. Gather all your hair to one side and split it into two sections.

TIP

You can also just put all of the hair into a ponytail to make it easier and get a better grip to start with, but this is just an option as it will not create the exact same look- however, you can always cut the elastic/hair tie/ bobble at the top once you’re finished!

STEP 2

Choose a section, it can be either one. Start by pulling a small piece of hair from underneath that section- this will help tie the two large sections together. The thinner the hair piece from the underneath section, the tighter your fishtail braid will be.

STEP 3

Start wrapping the smaller hair piece over the other large section (make sure it’s the section you didn’t get the smaller piece from). Start putting it over the larger section and then under the second large section meaning -across the top of the first section and right over the second.

Repeat this until you run out of the smaller section piece and then repeat STEP 2.

TIP

Using the same smaller section you pulled from under one of the big two sections until you run out is a slightly easier option then getting a new small section each time you move over to the one of the two larger sections, however that will work also.

STEP 4

Depending how far down you want to go, and once you’re happy with it, secure the ends with a clear elastic (or any of your choice).

If this is still all a bit complicated for you or you don’t have time or you don’t have enough hair to do it with, Krystellie have a clip in fishtail braid like life is so much easier now! No fussing about, pop your hair in a small bun and place the hair piece over it and you are good to go!
