Being someone who doesn’t have a lot of experience when it comes to hair extensions, something that has amazed me since trying them is the variety of styles and looks I can do, with just one simple clip in hair piece. I am pretty lucky to have naturally longer hair, however my hair doesn’t hold much texture, and when I try to create a look, I am lucky if it lasts an hour without going flat and lifeless.
I have tried out a few different looks with my extensions from Krystellie and thought I’d share some of my favourite looks for you all to try out for yourselves…
One of my favourite styles to do is a half up, half down look. I like my hair to be out my face so this is perfect if you are a woman on the go! I simply take my Krystellie one piece and clip in as normal. I then take the top layer of hair (ensuring I don’t expose the clips of the extensions) and brush it up, twisting it into a bun and simply clipping it into place!
I love this look, and has became a firm favourite of mines. You could of course rock some space buns by simply splitting the top layer of hair into 2 and having 2 smaller buns instead, something I think would be perfect for the festival season approaching. Just get some hair glitter and you would be good to go….
Of course, another option if you wanted something more casual would be to simply rock some loose ponytails, either one side pony, or 2 smaller ones, whatever suits your preference. I have been wearing these a lot lately, as they are perfect for my busy lifestyle, however still look very pretty and put together. This is also a great way to style your hair with the warmer weather coming in, as it gives you the length and volume, but won’t make you melt in the summer sun!
I like to use my Krystellie one piece again for this and love the look of the natural curls with this style, I think it makes it look much more relaxed and girly. Nevertheless, with the range of Krystellie extensions on offer, there is no limit to the looks you could create following this style!
Another look that could be done using the Krystellie one piece extension is this twisted side ponytail. Simply put your hair into a side pony and split the hair into 2 sections. Then twist each section around on itself, then twist each of those sections around on each other, securing at the bottom with a hair elastic or clip. This is great if you want something a little different than your classic pleat, and can be styled for a variety of occasions, whether casual or formal.
I love putting my hair into pleats and my extensions have been helping me as this is one style my natural hair does not like! I think pleats are a great staple hair style, and a great go to look….
Talking of pleats…
Another hair piece I have been using a lot lately is the fishtail pleat. I really didn’t know how I would get on with this piece however I have been wearing it to death since I first received it. I love how you can attach the pleat anywhere so no matter if you want a high pleat on the top of your head, or a low side pleat (my personal favourite) it works great!
I have also been using this pleat for some great up do’s like this low pleated bun pictured below. I love how easy this was to create and was done in no time at all. I simply attached my pleat extension as normal, and wrapped the pleat around on itself to form the bun, clipping it into place with a few bobby pins. I opted for a low bun, but you can style it whatever way you want, depending on your preferences or the occasion. I personally think this look would be great for a formal occasion.
The options with these extensions are endless and they give you the freedom to create a variety of looks within seconds. I have discovered some incredible looks that I love to wear and cannot wait to discover some more styles over the next few months, especially with summer around the corner…
For someone who doesn’t have much experience with extensions and hair pieces, these looks are all incredibly easy and simple to re-create, each one only requiring a few clips and hair elastics at the most…
